But grow in grace and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.  To him be glory both now and forever.  Amen.

2 Peter 3:18

THE SIXTH COMMANDMENT & THE VATICAN (Part 2)

"Thou shalt not kill."   (Exodus 20:13)

"We hear that you forbid torture as contrary to the laws of your land.  But no state law can override canon law, our law.  Therefore I command you at once to submit those men to torture."  Pope Clement V to King Edward II of England[1]

Some people believe that the Catholic Church has changed.  They claim that torture and murder of "heretics" was a thing of the Dark Ages, not of the 20th century.  Are they correct?  What does recent 20th century history tell us?

NAZI HOLOCAUST

The press of the Spanish dictator, Franco, published the following on 3rd of May 1945, the day of Hitler's death. "Adolph Hitler, son of the Catholic Church, died while defending Christianity."[2]  It praised him as a martyr.

Hitler stated, "I learned much from the Order of the Jesuits."[3]

Walter Schellenberg, former chief of Nazi counter-espionage, said: "The S.S. organization had been constituted by Himmler according to the principles of the Jesuit Order."[4]

Franz von Papen, another powerful Nazi, who set up the Concordat between Germany and the Vatican, said: "The Third Reich is the first world power which not only acknowledges but also puts into practice the high principles of the papacy."[5]

"As for the Jews, I am just carrying on with the same policy which the Catholic Church has adopted for fifteen hundred years, when it has regarded the Jews as dangerous and pushed them into ghettos, etc."  -- Adolph Hitler[6]

Notice that Hitler (in the above quote) rightly places the Catholic policy toward Jews as 1500 (not 1900) years old.  Why?  He knew the Catholic Church began with Constantine in the 4th Century A.D. -- not with Christ in the 1st Century A.D.

Machine guns, slave labor, starvation, torture and gas chambers all took their toll on Jewish men, women and children.  Whole families and Jewish communities were wiped out.  An estimated six million Jews perished in Hitler's Final Solution.

WORLD WAR II YUGOSLAVIA

The Catholic priests changed their robes for the uniforms of the dreaded Ustashi killer squads.  They then led the barbaric, brutal raids upon non-Roman Catholic people and practiced torture on a scale that numbs the mind.

The non-Catholic population of Catholic Croatia (part of Yugoslavia) were given two basic alternatives: conversion or death.  They did not spare women or children.

In the villages between Vlasenica and Kladanj the Nazi occupational troops discovered children who had been impaled upon stakes by the Ustashi, their little members distorted with pain.[7]

Catholic priests advocated the killing of children.  A PRIEST NAMED IVAN RAGUZ, REPEATEDLY URGED THE KILLING OF ALL SERBS, INCLUDING CHILDREN SO THAT “NOT EVEN THE SEEDS OF THE BEASTS ARE LEFT”[8]

A CATHOLIC PRIEST NAMED JURIC, “Today it is no longer a sin to kill a child of seven, should such a child be opposed to our movement of the Ustashi.”[9]

Peter Brzica had attended the Franciscan College at Siroki, Brijeg, in Herzegovina, was a law student, and a member of the Catholic organization of Crusaders.

In the concentration camp at Jasenovac, on the night of August 29, 1942, orders were issued for executions. Bets were made as to who could liquidate the largest number of inmates.

Peter Brzica won the competition by cutting the throats of 1,360 prisoners with a specially sharp butcher's knife.  He was elected King of the Cutthroats. A gold watch, a silver service and a roasted suckling pig and wine were his rewards.[10]

THE FRANCISCAN MONK, MIROSLAV FILIPOVlC, A PRIEST, WAS THE COMMANDANT OF THE CONCENTRATION CAMP AT JASENOVAC.[11]

Anton Pavelic, the Roman Catholic leader of Croatia (Hitler's puppet) had the full support of the Croatian Archbishop Aloysius Stepinac.[12] Pavelic escaped to the Vatican, dressed as a Catholic priest.[13] He later surfaced in Catholic Argentina.

VATICAN RATLINES

Not only Stepinac, but also thousands of other Ustashi and Nazi war criminals escaped to Latin America with the Vatican's help.[14]  On May 5, 1994 PRIME TIME LIVE with Sam Donaldson presented a television documentary titled “The Last Refuge”.

It was filmed in both Argentina and Rome.  It documented that the Vatican had run thousands of known war criminals through its "Ratlines" to Latin America.  Included were interviews with former SS officers and former American intelligence agents.

The following mass murderers were among those who escaped with Vatican help:

Adolph Eichmann -- Nazi Head of the SS Department for Jewish Affairs.

Franz Stangl -- Nazi Commandant of the SS Death Camp at Treblinka.

Joseph Mengele -- Sadistic doctor at SS Death Camp at Auschwitz.

Klaus Barbie -- Nazi Gestapo Chief in Lyons, France.

Stejpan Hefer -- Ustashi mass murderer of Serbs and Jews.

Ljubo Milos -- Ustashi mass murderer of Serbs and Jews.

Most were able to melt into the German communities of Latin America (particularly those of Argentina and Brazil).  Why not?  Killing Jews and other heretics had been a well-established Roman Catholic practice for centuries.

Many “infallible” Popes had confirmed it as an act of faith to the glory of God.  Pope Pius XII personally sent Bishop Hudal to the prisoner of war camps “to minister religiously to Catholics.”  The real purpose was to smuggle out Nazi war criminals.

“I thank God that He [allowed me] to visit ... prisons and concentration camps and [to help prisoners] escape with false identity papers.... I felt duty bound after 1945 to devote my whole charitable work mainly to former National Socialists [Nazis] and Fascists, especially to so called “war criminals.” Bishop Hudal[15]

The Vatican often promotes a religion of hate and murder.  Even when it does not, it refuses to condemn the many Popes who did.  Vatican murders are an enormous violation of the Sixth Commandment, “Thou shalt not kill” (Exodus 20:13).
